Terms and Conditions

• (a)Our primary "Service" is the technology platform (our app and website) that allows you to find, schedule, and pay for various home services.
• (b)The actual work (e.g., painting, cleaning) is performed by independent, third-party "Service Professionals". We call their work "Xperts Services".
• (c)In simple terms: UrbanXperts is the platform that connects you with the experts. We don't perform the Xperts Services ourselves; our role is to make the connection seamless and reliable. The Service Professionals are responsible for the work they provide.

To use our services, you'll need to create an account. You must be at least 18 years old and agree to provide accurate information. You are responsible for all activities that happen under your account and for keeping your password secure.

We value your feedback. When you post reviews, comments, or other content on our platform ("User Content"), you give us the right to use and display it in connection with our Services. This helps us maintain high standards and lets other users know about the quality of our Service Professionals. Please be honest and fair in your reviews.

Your privacy is paramount. We collect and use your data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using our platform, you consent to these practices.

• (a)Placing an Order: You can request a service for a specific time through our platform.
• (b)Confirmation: We'll confirm your booking via notification, SMS, or email, and then assign a verified Service Professional to your job.
• (c)Cancellations: You can cancel your booking, but please be aware that a cancellation fee may apply depending on the timing. Our cancellation policy has all the details.
• (d)Substitutions: If your assigned professional becomes unavailable, we will do our best to find a suitable replacement for you.

We believe in transparent pricing.

• (a)You pay for the Pro Services you receive. This amount ("Charges") goes to the Service Professional. It includes the cost of the service plus any materials or extra expenses.
• (b)We may also charge a "Fee" for using our platform, which helps us operate, innovate, and provide customer support.
• (c)All Charges and Fees will be shown to you upfront. The price you see is the price you pay, inclusive of applicable taxes.
• (d)Payments are final and non-refundable, unless required by law or determined by us in special circumstances.

To ensure a respectful and safe environment for everyone:

• (a)We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination against our Service Professionals.
• (b)We ask that you treat all professionals with courtesy and provide them with a safe and appropriate work environment. They have the right to refuse service if they feel unsafe or are treated disrespectfully.
• (c)If you experience any inappropriate or unlawful behavior from a Service Professional, please report it to us at info@urbanxperts.in immediately.

To ensure a smooth service for everyone, you agree to:

• (a)Provide complete and true information.
• (b)Not use our platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• (c)Respect our intellectual property and not copy or resell our platform or services.
• (d)Not attempt to hack or gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• (e)Not directly hire or solicit our Service Professionals outside of the UrbanXperts platform. This is for the safety and security of both customers and professionals.

In simple terms: Our platform is a service that connects you with independent professionals. While we thoroughly vet our experts and stand by our service quality, we are not directly liable for the Pro Services themselves. Your contract for the work performed is with the Service Professional.

• (a)The Services are provided "as is" without any warranties.
• (b)We are not responsible for the actions, omissions, or any damages caused by any Service Professional.
• (c)Our total liability in connection with any service is limited. To the maximum extent permitted by law, it shall not exceed the commission we receive for that booking or a total of INR 10,000, whichever is lower.

In simple terms: We hope we never have a serious disagreement, but if we do, we agree to resolve it through a neutral, third-party arbitrator in New Delhi, rather than through the court system.

• (a)These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
• (b)Any dispute will be resolved by a single arbitrator in New Delhi in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding.

All rights, titles, and interest in the UrbanXperts platform, including our brand, logo, and software, are owned by or licensed to us.

This agreement is effective until terminated by either you or us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

In simple terms: If something you do while using our service causes a legal claim to be filed against us, you agree to cover our legal costs and any damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold UrbanXperts harmless from any claims or losses that arise from your use of the platform or your violation of these Terms.

• (a)Changes to Terms: We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the changes on our platform, and your continued use will mean you accept the new terms.
• (b)Notices: All legal notices to us should be sent to info@urbanxperts.in.
• (c)Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures in service due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, etc.).
